Hi, I'm Jacob. For the past year I have been completely obsessed with quilting. If I am not working or doing something with my wife, 2 kids, and 2 dogs, I am likely quilting or thinking about quilting. 

When I first started quilting, I learned fairly quickly that not all local quilt shops are very welcoming. In fact, some are plain rude. In Facebook quilting groups I also learned of "Quilt Police" - those who insist their way is the only way. 

In an effort to find a welcoming community, I began organizing gatherings in the Metro Atlanta Area and in September of 2024, I attended and hosted my first quilting retreat. From that, the idea of The Flying Geese was born.  

The Flying Geese exists to be a community for people of all walks of life who love quilting and other fiber arts. At The Flying Geese you can gather with other open-minded people, you can create what you want, and you can find a place to belong.
